I must be the only one that loves the red tails. Not to ruffle any feathers but the clears conversion seems a bit rice ... sticking with red

I'm with you... do people get pulled over with the clears as i remember back in the day police would pull people over for having clear taillights on hondas and acuras. I assume these clears are DOT approved.

 

I think the red lens color of the original tail lamps went a long way towards establishing red as a desireable accent color to the huge mass of a vehicle's body color. Examples:

Stripes on moldings and body lines, since horse drawn vehicles.
Ornamentation, logos or scripts on grilles, bodysides or wheelcovers, since 1930s.
Wire wheel paint, since 1930s, and then steel wheel paint.
Brake calipers, in the last 15 years.

I am a traditionalist, I will stick with red tail light lenses.

 

I think clear tail lights look good on black, tungsten, silver & other darker colors. I didn't like it on my racing green. So I stuck with red, which is fine...at least no amber which is ugly.

 

As some have already mentioned, the clear tail lights are not for every colour.
My Mercury Silver looked stunning with the contrast of the Red, but now with my Lighting Silver, I do feel the clear suit this car better than red.

 

Clear looks great on this car in many colors....love it on my Tungsten.

A lot on this car is not "traditional" IMO....the led's, the zenon headlights for example...cars progress both in performance and looks.

 

What do you guys think of the clear tail lights on a Toro Red Vantage?

Any pics of one out there?

Right now I like the way the red tail lights blend into color of the car. I suspect the clear lights would really change the look of the car. I would like to at least see some pics before I place an order.

I really like the red tail-lights with the toro red. It is a stealth look. I think clear on your car might look ricey.

All that matters is what you think! The Astons also come with clear side markers.....is that "rice"?
