Actually, I seemed to have hijacked the initial threat. The noises from my car are contained in the following videos:

<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/nSpp3uP-LI4?hl=en&fs=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/mJ9X_phOIC4?hl=en&fs=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

My noises are coming from the front lower engine area. My local AM dealer listed to these audio files and thinks it may be a lifter issue. I have no idea how bad that could be....i'm taking the car in tomorrow.

Will keep you posted.

Yea, thats is a good one. Have seen that. Also seen the heat sheild in rear rub on subframe causing weird noises.

Sounds like a pulley noise to me.

Wow, so I'm confused. I just realized that the original video (to which I was responding) was posted by seattle_sun almost a year ago. Apparently, this is not the issue being discussed. The second set of videos (posted by macksamus) don't sound anything like the first to me.

Mackasmus,

did you manage to solve your noise-issues? If so what caused it? If not are you able to publish those recordings again? I listened a while ago but they are now gone. I might have some ideas on what those noises could be.
