Tyre Pressure Monitoring Switch on V8V MY2011?

Hi guys,

anyone here who knows how to switch off the TPM (Tyre Pressure Monitoring ) on a Vantage V8 My 2011? My winter rims have the old system (MY2011 has a new one) which brings up annoying errors on the display.

I am specifically asking for MY2011, the ECU is completely different then the old ones...

Thanks!

Might want to ask on the AMOC site - tend to have more specific technical questions answered there w/ many answers coming from AM mechanics (directly and indirectly). Then share w/ us !

What do your winter rims look like and do you drive the car in the snow? How does that work?

Sorry, can't tell you yet, right now is raining... I have the 7 spoke OEM wheels, fitted with TPM, but unfortunately, MY2011 has modified recievers in the car so they don't speak to each other

I am going to drive the car in the snow for sure, nothing to worry about I think, ESP is there, Diff is there, so I'll give it a try...

What did you decide on for snow tires? It looks like Blizzak, Michelin and Continental have some excellent choices based on Tire-Rack tests and surveys. I've noticed that not all of these companies make exact size replacements for the fronts, so you may have to go to a slightly different size (e.g., 245/45-19)

Easy choice: Pirelli Sottozero II.

They have the original sizes, have a special AM homologation sign on them and have a W speed index (270kmh/170mph). This is a special rubber made for AM, and is different than the usual one. Car handles terrific with those, I drove them yesterday at maximum speed and they felt even more stable than the summer tires...
