Aston Martin Vantage on Top Gear USA
And here's another really fun video of the V8V on the Isle of Man: http://www.topgear.com/uk/videos/man...e=most-watched

Even the V12, which is quick, is slower than the new XKR which runs 0-60 in 4.0, 0-100 in 8.8, and the 1/4 in 12.3@119. Which would be faster on the track? Hard to say...but the V12 Vantage was slower than all of the the other high end sports cars they had tested and not that far ahead of the Evo. Come on Aston Martin, step it up!
Plain and simple british people just sound more witty when they speak and thus makes it more interesting to watch. I do agree that these guys seem awkard together and dont really provide any good info on the cars for car enthusiast like most of us. I hope they improve on these things so that I have another car related show to watch, for nothing else as to just see a hot car driven and commented on.
On other forums it has been stated that the chemistry gets better over the next few episodes. Did any of you see the original top gear u.k. version? It was much worse than this has been. I'm not saying it was perfect, but you can't expect it to be great the first few episodes.
Someone pointed out that Top Gear UK was also bad in the early years. That may be the case, but it doesn't make it okay for Top Gear USA to be as bad as those early UK shows from over a decade ago. Top Gear USA has to step up its game soon if it's going to make it. Heck, all they have to do is emulate the original better. So far, I'm not convinced they can.
I cant belive they filmed him driving like that on populated roads. Ive never seen something like that in the UK show. It shoes him hauling *** sideways by a 30mph speed limit sign them BAM traffic. Then he drifts through a crowded parking lot.
You dont see that on the UK version, sure you know hes hauling *** but they dont make it that obvious.
I cant believe there arent any lawsuits yet.
I cant say Im the most tame driver on public roads but dang that was pretty bad.

I watched t again on the net. I think I like the color of the V12. There is very much an awkwardness that doesn't exist in the UK. You can say that it wasn't as smooth at the beginning but they didn't have a blue print and years of tape as an example. It doesn't have to be a copy of the UK version but there needs to be a level of production that stands up. I'm nit sure I even like the "Stig" on this show. It might have ben cool to establish a new driver. It felt like they were rushing the in studio discussion as if it were a scripted read through.
Is Tanner on this show? Liked him on supercars exposed, the new one with him and paul tracy is too contrived, but still fun to watch. Tanner seems like the kind of guy who would be fun to hang out and drink beer with. Tracy seems like the guy you want to watch go into the wall....
