13:1 at WOT is OK, since the Max Power A/F ratio is 12.5 and the Max Power curve is pretty flat between12.0 and 13.0. For gasoline , the stoichiometric air/fuel mixture is approximately 14.7 and I'd hope that's where it goes for Cruise.

Just so we understand each other, that graph is from the Aston Martin PCM datalogged from the OBD2 port. This is the AFR that the PCM thinks your car is getting, it is from the base fuel maps with temp/pressure compensation. If you get sustantially different readings it is either due to measurement error in your Wideband O2 sensor or component wear/dirt that is irratic and cannot be trimmed out in the LTFTs. I would guess that dirty MAF's or measurement error would be the 2 most likely causes. Lots of Wideband o2 sensor tests online, no 2 usually read the same(unfortunately). I'd recommend cleaning the MAFs but they are a pain to get to in my car.

believe me, working frantically ... so many mods I have to coordinate at one time. It's a bit of a logistical nightmare. Doing my best to hurry things up ASAP.

A little bit worried about the mods with the white engine smoke coming out of your engine after your run today. Figure out where it came from yet?

My car is 100% bone stock right now so no that has nothing to do with mods at all ... the smoke is good old OEM Aston Reliability haha ... It appears to be emissions system related (I am assuming EGR or Secondary injection pump). I have yet to actually install any mods b/c I am waiting on a few more components to come in.

Since it needs some TLC I will go ahead and replace the thermostat as well and get the e-brake pads so I can install the rotors shortly.

(Write-up and dynos coming next week) .... been very busy behind the scenes
Its been over a week Have you done the dyno to see the gains yet?
I am excited to hear the results.

Did you buy these parts from an Aston-Dealer, or find aftermarket parts availablity? $150 seems very pricey for a thermostat.

Detomaso: Check engine light has delayed the process slightly so it may take a bit longer until I get that cleared completely. It appears to just be a vacuum leak or PCV valve failure, nothing major it seems.

Dicktahoe: I WISH! I cannot find any 3rd party vendors anywhere for aston parts or OE equivalents. They really have locked down a monopoly on those. I did ask forum members for a set of used stock e-brake pads so I can have carbotech make e-brake pads for our cars as well, but nobody has stepped up yet. They can do it, but they need stock set. yes Thermostat price is pretty absurd, but once I get it in my hands I will try to see if it happens to be the same exact dimensions as a BMW or mercedes one ... if so then you could find tune the cooling system with different temp thermostats for a tiny fraction of the cost (most of theirs are $15-30) ... I doubt it will be that simple though (but you never know).

Since the Aston V8 is a modification of the Jaguar V8 it wouldn't surprise me if the Jaguar Thermostat fits.

You may be right....from Wiki
Aston Martin hand-assembles a special version of the AJ-V8 for the 2005 V8 Vantage. This unit displaced 4.3 L (4280 cc/261 in³) and produces 380 hp (283 kW) at 7000 rpm and 302 lb·ft (409 N·m) at 5000 rpm. This engine is unique to Aston Martin and features race-style dry-sump lubrication, which enables it to be mounted low to lower the centre of gravity. The engine is assembled by hand at the AM facility in Cologne, Germany, which also builds the V12 for the DB9 and Vanquish. The cylinder block, cylinder heads, crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, camshafts, inlet and exhaust manifolds, lubrication system and engine management are all unique to the Aston Martin version.
In May 2008, Aston Martin released a new design that used pressed cylinder liners instead of cast-in liners. This allowed for thinner liners, and a higher capacity of 4.7L for the V8 Vantage. Power output increased to 420 bhp (an 11% increase on the previous 4.3L unit) and peak torque to 470 N·m (350 lb·ft) (a 15% increase

sgt d is on a distinguished road
i had a egr code a month or so ago and replaced the egr, cleared the code and was fine until last night. the car had been running a bit jumpy below 3500 rpm's but is fine above, which were the symptoms before the replacement. last night i did notice a egg smell which i always have associated to bad cats, i am getting ready to go take it out and see if i get the smell again. i am going to just pull the trigger on exhaust and cats i think but i want something that still has a unique sound. i am concerned that most of the aftermarket exhaust systems just sound like mustang, which i am partial too however i like how unique the car sounds stock.

the stumbling below 3500 is probably b/c your cats have failed and created alot of backpressure. Sulfur eggs smell most likely confirms that ...
