Wouldn't it be the same filter as the one in Jag? I.e. It's a rebadged part item.

I just had my annual service done last week. My dealer just charged me $35 for just the filter. Hope this helps.

I took my own transaxle fluid to dealer at my annual service and they swapped it out for me. No issues except for the service manager warning me about how delicate our cars were and that I should only use the Aston Martin recommended fluids. When he saw it was the RP stuff, he gave up his rant.

I bought a filter over the AM parts counter for $26. To my knowledge this is the only one that fits.

Thanks for the information. Recently I stumbled on a case of Aston Oil Filters for sale and wondered how the dealer would react when I bring my own filter for my next service.

the shop that did my last oil change sourced a jaguar filter for it at a bit lower cost. i will see if he can give me the information.

It hink a simple oil change is @$500. The first annual/10k (whichever comes first) service is @$650 and the second annual/20k is about $1200....I think. I sure would follow the book and make sure to get it stamped to help your resale value. As you probably know already, these cars like Ferraris and Lambos need a service history to keep resale at its best.

One thing I'm convinced of, is the smaller number of dealers and maybe parts outlets means we have to pay more than MB or Porsche owners. If you are changing your own oil, you got my respect. My luck, I would "botch" something. So I guess I'm reduced to paying more to a dealer. Enjoy your car.

FYI, if they ask if you want the "kit", the drain plug is $22.

Sure it's not a LOT of money, but that's insane for a reusable (at least 2-3 times) screw.

If my memory is correct, even though I bought everything as a "kit" (filter, O-ring, sump plug, etc), on the invoice they all appeared as separate items. I'm sure you can pick and choose the parts you need.

The $22 sump plug definitely caught my attention the last time I reviewed the invoice.
