My 2007 V8 with the AM 20 hp upgrade and quicksilver exhaust has a starting problem it will turn over for a minute then finally start it does it constantly accept when I bring it to the dealer its extremly annoying!! The only warning that comes on in the cars computer is emmission warnings which goes off and comes on sometimes, Can that cause the car to have a problem starting?? Its getting very frustrating please help!!! I have 26000 miles I dont know what to do I want to sell the car & I cant because I am scared it wont start when the buyer comes to look at the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weird. The emissions warning light can be any number of things. You need to have the CEL codes scanned to determine exactly what the problem is. The codes are stored in the ECU and your dealer can pull the codes and diagnose. Sorry I can't be of more help but I would start with the dealer even though it happens intermittently.

What codes was it throwing? I'd guess either the cats are bad or the O2 sensors need to be replaced. The dealer should be able to sort that out.
