Need to touch up interior door handle

I have pre-owned '07 V8 Vantage. The previous owner seems to have always been in quite a rush to get out of the car as there are numerous chips in the driver-side door handle. It has been touched up before with nicely matched paint that disguises the color if not the indents from the chips. Unfortunately some of the paint has chipped off a bit. Considering that a replacement handle is approximately $1200, I am looking for a short-term remedy. I spoke with my dealer, and Aston Martin doesn't sell a touch-up paint. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any idea what color / type of paint might work?

Thanks,

brumma

Excellent idea, the render of di-noc is perfect

And for the door sills:

No thanks. I had lots of carbon fibre in my Maserati so I'm a bit tired of it now. I appreciate the suggestion, though, but I'd prefer to just find paint for it.

same issue here. when i bought the car i had them swap out one from another vantage they had on the lot with less nicks in it.
as for color matching just pick up a car paint sample book and look through the swatches, find one thats close and go to an auto paint supply store. i cant imagine you cant come crazy close for some minor touch ups.
or hell just take the arm rest to the paint shop and have them match it.

Damn, that looks really sweet! Can you provide details? I want to do mine! Where did you purchase from, cost, installation, etc.

Thanks,

No offense, but I think it looks terrible. I've seen the material on other cars, and it has a very obvious texture to it that looks nothing like real carbon fibre. Then again, I've never thought carbon fibre belongs in an Aston. To each his own, I suppose.

Agree-to each there own. I guess some may prefer the look of touched up paint over the metal chips. Could look good if done perfect.

I quite like the look of the V12V and DBS, especially the rear diffuser!!

There are many types of CF wraps-Make sure you get the top of the line 3M with the textured feel to it. i thought it felt great and reflected correctly.

Ah, sarcasm--I get it. I do like the original finish of the handles, and think that it looks appropriate to the rest of the interior. Obviously I'd prefer it if they would continue to look nice. I suppose it could look good if it were real carbon fibre.

Honestly, I really was just looking for some help regarding a short-term solution--hence the touch-up paint inquiry.

Thanks, BLAM. I received another recommendation (Toyota Phantom Grey) as well, so I'll check them out and post the results.
