Brown or Gold?

I am looking at 2 cars, each has a unique color combo. For future resale value, which is the better color?

You should by the car that you like and not worry about what the next person thinks.

That being said, its all in your taste. Personally I do not like either interiors at all....but possibly the brown exterior over gold....neither really...

The obsidian interior and any silver/gray/black seem most popular

Hi, JVMax-

Welcome to the forum. Post often and add value.

Because you are buying an early year model, the bulk of the depreciation is already gone, meaning that the car will not drop much more in value. The market for this car, in 3-4 years, is not like that of a Mustang or a Camaro. These are cars that you should buy for a good while, and not worry about flipping in a couple of years. Exotics such as these are purchased because they are your passion, rather than your drive-of-the-week.

Honestly, buy what you like the best and in which you feel the most comfortable. Like a child, this will be your baby. And also like a child, we tend not to trade them in after a couple of years. :-)

Good luck and drive it like you stole it!

I usually keep my cars 6 months to a year, I see so many silver/gray astons on the road it is nice to see it in another color. I actually like White the best, but that is just me.

I do agree with seeing too many silvers....and also like white.

What about this one?

I think more conservative colors suit Aston best. Therefore, I'd go with the brown. Gold is a bit OTT for an Aston IMO.

As for depreciation bottoming, I believe this to be true. The dealer gave me $70k for my V8V (15k mies), which I purchased for $72,500 in 2009 (7k miles). Of course, it was a trade-in deal, so you can argue that I actually got less for my car (and therefore paid less for my new car too).

I've seen the gold one in person. Very nice and unique color, but it's not for me.

JVMAX, I have a background in art and color coordination. Given the choice between only these two; I would definitely go for the darker brown exterior. The lighter car would not even be considered. IMHO.

I only considered it due to price and it actually has 3 months of factory warranty left.

Yeah, there's a reason for the lower price.

I consider 3 months of factory warranty as having no warranty.

Not that I care, I have no warranty for almost 3 years now.
