First 5 Weeks of Ownership of 07 V8V

I purchased my 2007 V8V five weeks ago, and it has been an exhilerating experience thus far. I've driven the car a little over 11xx miles so far, and the car has performed flawlessly. The first 550 miles was the trip from Atlanta to St. Louis, and the last 550 miles or so have been around town. I drive the car about three or four times a week, usually at night because of the recent heatwave with temperatures hitting 100 degress daily.

The only glitch I've experienced was the glove compartment fell open while I was driving. When I inspected it, the metal bracket which is attached to the glove compartment door, had come off as the plastic washers around the screws had broken into pieces. I'll probably be able to fix this on my own without going to the dealer. Otherwise, all is good so far.

Congrats with your new car. I know what you mean too, I hate driving my car at 100+ degree weather. I want cooler weather so I can drive it more often.

Why can't you drive it in the heat? That little cabin shouldn't be too hard for the A/C to keep up with.

St Louis V8V

That VIN end in 5400? If so I bought that car in St Louis and drove it to Atlanta. I figured it might be my first Aston when I went to Motorcars of Ga website and saw the car was sold about the sametime I read your post. How ironic/small world... I fly one way to St Louis and drive it to Atlanta. Almost exactly 2 years later you fly to Atlanta one way and drive it back to St Louis. I pampered that car. I did the 20000 mile service when it had 6000 miles on it. Like all Aston Martins, keep a check of your oil just as the book says. Enjoy that car!! Keep in touch, Savile Row.

The older Vantage can have trouble keeping the cabin cool in hotter climates. The new AC units are better, although not as strong as good ol' 'merican AC units.
