Thumbs up New photoshoot of Aston Martin Vantage Roadster project, with 21" Modulare H3 brushed

Here is a new photoshoot of our Aston Martin Vantage Roadster project car, this time with a set of 21" Modulare H3 wheels in brushed. The wheels are 21x9 front and 21x10.5 rear, mated to Falken FK452 255/30/20 and 295/25/21 rubber. The lowering springs, DBS tailamps, and N400 sideskirts are courtesy of our friends at RSC Tuning.

Enjoy the pics!

I think the wheels look awesome, but I don't like the drop. I don't care for the look when the car is lowered so much that the tire is actually tucked in under the fender as it is in the rear of this car. I think the curvature of the wheel-well opening should match the circumference of the tire. In this car, there is no gap near the top and a large gap on the leading and trailing edge. It's almost the opposite of when a car sits too high—neither is a good look.

It's a subtle difference, but I raised the rear of the car in Photoshop to show what it could look like if it wasn't so "slammed". What are your thoughts?

I must confess to loving the looks of the wheels.....awesome....... but surely this a sports car first and foremost, not a poser's car, so the dynamics of the Vantage is very important. Fitting 21-inch wheels and lowering the car simply cannot be good for best handling, interaction and feel - the factory stick with 19-inchers for a reason IMO.

Pretty soon you'll see someone put 24s on an Aston.

Vantage is a small car, I think 20"s should be the max people should go. The style does fit the Vantage nicely.

I've yet to see a set of aftermarket wheels that look right on the vantage. My favorites are OEM listed in order below.

1. 5 Spoke Sport Pack Wheel
2. Stock 19' Wheel with spacers
3. DBS Wheel

Every time I see after market wheels on the vantage it cheapens the look of the car to me. However, the new BMW M Wheels in this link are pretty sweet:

Personally, I don't really like aftermarket wheels on the Aston either, but this shot is sexy! Look at those curves!

Different strokes for different folks, I rarely if ever like OEM wheels, Aston Martin included. Wheels are usually the first thing I change when I purchase a car. The M wheels you are talking about is hideous. The only OEM wheels I like are from Audi b/c they look aftermarket.
