Another Fuse 22 Mod

Another Fuse 22 Mod
I'm running stock muffler but 200 cell Cats. I sometimes find the exhaust sound objectionably loud, i.e. Starting and driving off at night in a quiet area or overtaking someone in town and revving it a little to get around them. When the exhaust bypass opens, people stare. In these circumstances I wish I could keep the exhaust bypass closed all the time. Now, on the other hand, when I'm in the mood for a spirited drive, I'd like the exhaust bypass open all the time.
So here is my "fix".
1) Cut white control wire to the exhaust solenoid. Lengthen both ends and extend into the cabin.
2) Hook up a SPDT switch with the control wire to the solenoid attached to the central switch connector.
3) Hook the control wire from the ECU to up end of the switch.
4) Hook the down end of the switch to a chassis ground.
Thats it!
Central position = Bypass open all the time.
Switch in up position = Normal ECU control.
Switch in down position = Bypass closed all the time.
Works great.
