Wheel spacers and filters ordered from RSC. Schedule to install those and the N400 door sills by next Friday. I will post some before and after pics for those of you still thinking about adding any of these mods.

 

Bellaire35, when you get over 9 posts and you've had the vantage a little while, please post your comparison here on this thread. I would greatly appreciate that.

 

I too moved from an R8 to an AMV8... I found the R8 to be a far superior vehicle in terms of driving dynamics... it's faster, corners better and has more of a super-car feel. The Vantage is a smaller, tighter, nimbler package that has much more luggage space than the R8 (2 sets of golf clubs "just" fit in the trunk). No way in the R8. That said, I had to say good-by the the R8 when the recession hit and when business returned, I found a Vantage that I couldn't live without. The interior of the AMV8 is so much more bespoke than the R8 (and I had the full leather). Also the stereo in the vantage is much better than the B&O stereo in the R8. It's the best car stereo that I have ever had. Finally, the AMV8 has much more soul than the R8; although I think the R8 has a better sounding engine. Despite installing high flow cats and a Miltek rear muffler in the AMV8 (lighter and sweeter sounding than stock), the un-modified R8 felt much faster.

 

Funny how some have moved FROM the R8 and I'm thinking of moving TOWARD the R8 yet I haven't even driven in one.

 

Love the color and clear tails. I prefer a manual but the car is so amazing either way. Love the sports pack too. Best of luck with it.

I know... I'm actually cross-shopping the two. I don't think I'm ever going to get either one. I can't get off the fence.
