Figured out why my wipers kept coming on

Water damage in the front fuse box, shorted out the motor making it come on at random times (when the key wasn't in the ignition...and dry). So now in addition to replacing the wiper motor I have to have the entire front fuse panel replaced as well. Ugh. They're estimating ~20+ hours labor.

I don't know how bad this damaged the front fuse box..but to replace the front "under bonnet fuse box". this is about a 1 hour operation..to replace the wiper motor(depends on the model/engine)..can take from 5-7 hours..these are all warranty times so some techs will be faster and some techs will be slower..hehe but 20+hrs is a little overkill, unless the harness is completely fried and needs to have all the pins redone to the fuse box under the bonnet.. even then seems overkill on the estimate..just my 2cents

No idea, got the same labor estimate from 2 indy shops and the dealership so I suppose it's legit. They said the same, about 2 hours for the fuse box and the rest for the wiper motor. The shop I'm using I've been using for a couple years with my last two cars and my current other vehicle and he's always done everything surprisingly quick and way cheaper than the dealerships and is right on target with the other two estimates this time.
