Question Updated NavTeq DVD (Volvo) includes new UI/OS look?

I'm sorry, but I completely hate the GPS system (as many other do too). Fortunately I know my way around town, and have no plans to ever use the GPS/NAV unless really needed, but I wanted to update to the latest NavTeq DVD hoping for a new "User-Interface/OS" look and feel.

http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT...gationMenu=YES

If I were to update to the latest disc, does this update the User Interface and OS feel of the navigation or is it just specifically the maps?

Thoughts or first-hand experiences greatly appreciated.

The later models went HD based, and they are a bit better, but AM have now moved up to use Garmin, which brings it right up to date.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be anyone that can upgrade the Volvo-based systems to Garmin. So, I'm considering whether to replace the system that cost me £1700 [$2,600], with a much better system that sticks on like any aftermarket system, but costs about £100

^^Nope, the newest update just gives you newer maps and a bit better routing...still looks like it was the first nav unit ever made lol

i barely even use my navi at all. i used it once and got so confused that i had mapped out from Point A to B and didn't realize that I had somehow mapped out Point B back to A so my estimated arrival time was like double.
