I know of 3 kits out there so far. The Nitron/RSC kit, the KW V3 kit, and somewhat uniquely, Exe-tc (which is insanely expensive, but their GT3 suspension is VERY highly thought-of). Has anyone tried any of these and have any opinons?

I'm biased, but I took ewu64 out for a spin in the RSC car, hopefully he can give you his impressions.

hey stewart! I do like those pale blue springs. I know Nitron is quite popular in England and that a lot of people in club racing run them. Hopefully someone using them can post a review!

I have kw3 on my car. KW says I was the first set. It made a bigger difference than any other car I had coilovers on. The spring rates on the KW are also very stiff but the ride quality is very good provided you are around the middle damper setting.

Initially I had H&R springs on sportpack dampers. The ride was ok but not better in any way in regards to comfort and performance.

Very expensive for coilovers but asides from the rsc sport shift tune its the best money you can spend on the car.

Never drove the aston as i hated the shifting and the suspension but now its one my favorite cars to drive.

Hi, Stuart! I guess my User name was not much of a secret to you. That's the password for all my credit cards too!!

Yes, I took a short drive in the RSC Vantage with their suspension set-up. First, the steering is more responsive, faster, and with less lag. The handling is good. The Vantage is a heavy car and it likes to show it in fast corners. With this car the weight transfer was a lot less dramatic, less prone to show suddenly at turns. Corners were flatter with more feedback from the outside wheel. Made a slow U-turn; nevertheless, I could feel the car less eager to lift the inside wheel. This car makes you feel you are more in control in comparison with my car (stock), with less motions around the car. In short, the car felt smaller. Traction at exit was good. The compression was a little firm as we went over an elevation with railroad tracks but, the damping was good when the nose came down. The ride is firm, but not uncomfortable at all, unless your last car was a Cadillac Seville. The road harshness was kept isolated (some roads we drove over were under construction). However, I felt more road feedback from the tires, thru the seats, which it's good! I think it's worth the money for a person wanting to track the car ocassionally, while mantaining the road worthiness and comfort of the car. Or........ if you just want a more agile, responsive and less "flabby" car on the road. Hope this helps!

It certainly does. Thanks for the detailed response. It's great that we have some feedback on a potential fix to what I think is a bit of a weak point for the aston.....the body control.

I had the stock suspension on my 2007 Vantage, yet after a year I switched to the AM sport suspension. A very noticeable improvement, particularly on the track-- much more responsive with less body roll. Still OK for routine road driving, yet you do feel every bump. I have close to 30 track days on my Vantage, and think it is a OK track car, yet have decided to invest in a dedicated track car rather than putting more money into upgrading the Vantage (sooner or later something very expensive will break.)
