I was just there a week ago. None of the roads were challenging or curvy, but maybe there are some out there. I was eating places recommended in the Texas Monthly BBQ issue. I stopped at the Oasis too, but I would not go there on the weekend as it is probably packed.

Contact Sonny Morgan at Aston Martin of Dallas. I am searching for the route he created that started in Llano and had some great roads. The three sisters area is fun and there are lots of fantastic byways in the hill country. You can event go as far as Glen Rose and stay at Rough Creek or go deep into the Hill Country. We stayed at Barton Creek and then met at the Galleria outdoor mall to caravan to Llano. From there, the road was great and ended up in Fredericksburg.
The Hill Country is fantastic with an Aston. Do you know the local AMOC rep, John Lavandoski? He has some great routes in the Austin area.

Sorry, my mistake. Sonny is at Aston Martin of Austin. John lives in Austin and is a private Aston owner. Kurt runs Aston Martin of Dallas, which owns both the Dallas and Austin stores. Kurt has set up Rough Creek outings in the past and can fill you in on some of the great roads around there. He knows them well, too.
