New Owner

Officially introducing my "new to me" Aston Martin Vantage....007
Came from Hollywood USA to Canada...17000 miles
Included ......Aston Martin power upgrade, quicksilver exhaust, tint and front/side paint protection

Interior: Charcoal with red stitching
Premium Audio

Trade my 2009 XKR -in part for this lovely work of art
I added rims and tires , air filters and completed a full fluid exchange.
Considering "cats" this summer...still listening to the current sound of this brillant machine
PS...car needs detailing...lol

I'd like to thank all forum members for their helpful information to this point and express my appreciation for the quality dialogue & sharing of information on this forum. ...Great place to be..better place to learn
Special thanks to Aston Ca. for the set of brake pads.
I will install when needed

Now how do I create an avatar or place a pic of my car in my user profile?

Thanks

The owners manual I believe describes the color as "Toro " red.

I'm interested in how the XKR compares and why you switched.

Jaymoney...Ive attached a few pics........brand name......ACE Convex

Bluesun.....tough question...same designer...but looks go to Aston!
overall shape and rear features top the XKR for me

XKR way more low end..I miss this..but not unsatified
better gas mileage ...most concerning thing about the
Vantage for me along side the overall engine performance
nothing to do with cost..but the engine appears to be
ineffcient in multiple areas...I know it could have been
part of a strategy...I am pleased factoring in the upgrades
...it is no slouch..and you always feel you are going faster
....real performance I think is in the high end...but dont get
there often

Aston to me is a blend between the XRK and the 911...you
don't work as hard to drive/enjoy it as compared to the 911
and it has some quality GT features...the XKR solid GT with
some good performance features....interior ...I sway..to Aston
Audio..Aston.....technology..........XKR

Prestige/ exclusivity.....hands-down...Aston...you dont see
many Astons...albeit...not to many XKR's...but production
numbers do differ...I've had comments...what is it?..is that a
new jag?....or ..it's gorgeous! can I take a picture....is it new?
the lines and sound are breath taking!...and we are meeting...
for dinner and drinks/socializing do you want to join us...lol
Never had that with a 911 or Jag...I hope this sheds a little
light on my thinking around the two cars...OH...biggest bonus..I was
offered 10 grand more than I paid for the Jag as a trade in...
...lol............

Great car! The wheels really suit it well - a similar look to OEM but bigger. Nice to see another Canadian in the fold..

Great to see the 'reveal' Stew! I really do like the look of those wheels, does ACE do those in a forged version? You should post some shots from the front and rear of the car looking along the side panel to show the concavity and extension beyond the wheel wells. If I'm down near the bench country some time we should go find some escarpment roads to run.

Stew, what a sharp looking vehicle you’ve got there! Yes AM is more exclusive than your Jag, and Toro more exclusive among AM’s. It’s gorgeous.
Interesting to see that people don’t recognize the Aston up there. Canadians have a thing against Bond pictures?...you know, he had the same pictures on his money as you do. J
Although mine is a different model, they had the same engineers and I’ve found that top end is really where my torque kicks in. Ironically it always really wants to pull away just when reaching the speed limit.
I know everyone is clamoring for pictures, but one of your interior stitching detail would be nice too.
Congratulations Brother!
P.S. Nice wheels.

Congratulations on the new ride and welcome to the world of AM ownership.

I also have a 2007 Toro Red Vantage. I really like your wheels, great choice!
