I love that guy's voice in the video.

 

Two things:

#1 I LOVE it!!!!

#2 Am I the only one here who thinks that SRT secretly co-developed the Vanquish and the Viper simultaneously like the BRZ/FR-S?

 

Its a nice design but very similiar to existing designs imo.

Problem is we have this new Mondeo arriving soon that will make the trademark Aston front look very common

 

Just aweful that Ford is using that Aston front grille for the mondeo or taurus or whatever they are coming up with...I like Ford a lot as a company, even owned their prefered stock class shares. That said this really pissed me off...it's a low blow to Aston, one that Ford should not do !

 

Imitation is the best form of flattery. If you look like the best, some might perceive you that way...

Let's face it, the majority of the world (Ford's target) doesn't even know what an Aston Martin is (somebody actually thought my car was an Aston Martin once), but we all know what a good looking car looks like. I think Ford's design dept did a wonderful job styling out the mundane sedan, and putting together a car worth looking at.

I mean, didn't a select few throw out Chrysler for their rip-off of the Bentley when the previous model 300 was released? Did it hurt their sales? Nope.

 

I don't think the front of that Ford is close enough that it would cause a problem for me....if I had an Aston.

 

I think that Ford is what the AML Cygnet should have looked like, maybe a 2 dr version only.

That grill on the Ford looks almost identical to the DB9/DBS front grille...

 

Aston's fender vents are showing up on all kinds of other cars also...

 

That looks really good until you look at side profile and rear. They are just ugly IMO. Ford Fusion is a no-go. Now, the unique AM frontend is gone. RIP.

 

Mixed emotions on look here (although I do like the interior crazy pattern and designs; unique and that is a good thing in a car that costs this much). As for the exterior, I think it's not as pretty as the Vantage and they either needed to stick with classy style like the prior Vanquish or should have gone further ape**** (ala V12 Zagato) to really make thier top end model stand out differently from the rest of the line. I've always been a bit annoyed how every Aston model for the past 6 years looks almost identical. Don't like the headlights, that is for sure.
