It'll be close to 3400 by the time they are done. The highest VIN I've seen is 3336 for one of the Ultimate Edition DBS's (#51 of 100). But VINs and car numbers don't always match up.

YEP, the only thing I've ever heard was on a show about AM as well, and they said that AM does not release sales numbers, and only would say they produce ABOUT 5,000 units per year, and gave no other breakdowns, I did see somewhere when I was researching my 06 DB9, that there were approximately 300 06 db9's produced that year

I said only in 2006, not total cars ever world wide, and that was only number of 2006 db9' in the US

Not to be pedantic, but you didn't say US only. And US sales were much more than 300. About half of all db9 sales were in the US, which means somewhere between 1200 and 1500.
