Vantage V8 Rear Muffler Removal Question
Hi Drcollie
Thanks for sharing the procedure
I am about to start it to install a Quicksilver super sport muffler
My concern is at point 7) when you disconnect the small vac hoses, is this an air or hydraulic circuit? Do you need to seal the remaining hose on the opener / closer side?
Best regards
Thierry

Does it say anywhere if it is a Supersport, or Supersport plus, etc.?
I just removed what I suspect is a Quicksilver Supersport plus muffler, but there are no tags remaining, so I'd like to compare it to yours.
The generic pictures on their site aren't much to go off of.
(The hoses are air-vacuum, so nothing comes out when you disconnect them. I'd plug them off and tuck them up behind the wheel well. Previous owner had stuck a nail in each of them.)
Would it be possible for you to post a couple pics of the Quicksilver muffler you are about to install?

Thanks for the attempt, but I can't seem to access the pictures (I'm not too computer savy, lol).
I had wanted to identify what muffler I just removed, and while the good folks at Quicksilver confirmed it was one of theirs, it apparently isn't possible to tell which version (street, sport, supersport or supersport+) you have without the sticker or paperwork. I will assume mine is a SS+, as with hi-flo cats it was "extremely proud to announce itself", lol.
Either way, I look forward to your opinion of the Quicksilver SS.

Hi,
Normally you should find a label like the one in attachment where the QuickSilver item Nr is indicated
Supersport = AS053S
Supersport + = AS054S
