Paintless Dent Removal - Vantage
Paintless Dent Removal - Vantage
Noticed two dings in my Vantage rear quarter panels. I brought it to the local PDR folks, but they could not get quick access to the backside of the rear quarter panel to massage them out. Anyone else know if there is access to that location from some alternate method from the interior or some other means?
Nope they did not remove tail light, they were saying they could drill a small hole behind the fender liner to get access. That was the main access area they were looking at since its the upper part of the rear fender between the passenger door and the wheel.
I figured before going the drilling route I would ask around to see what others have done on the Vantage.

Remember too, that the body is aluminum, and unlike almost every other car out there that is steel, the aluminum as a metal performs differently. Steel has a 'memory' and is MUCH easier to get a dent out with tool manipulation than aluminum. Before you let the dent removal guys have a go at it, you really need to see if they have experience working aluminum or you might wind up with a messy job.
FYI, the Vantage has an inner fender liner. Pull the wheel, and then you have appx 12 small screws to remove and the inner fender liner will drop out along with the attached wheel insulation and they should be able to get access that way.

Little hard to see since the car is black.

Just looked at your pics and have had a lot of experience with dent removal. Provided the practitioner can get the leverage for his tool, which I think will be no problem in your case, it will be impossible to detect where your dent was.
