Thanks for your reply J double U. I was able to purchase a Crystal Key and swap the internals now I have a fully working remote FOB.
I now have a 3rd key and are about to program the PATS to the car. Do you know the sequence?
Start engine and shut off with key#1, repeat fast with key #2, now insert key #3 and hold down till engine starts. Key #3 now programmed to start engine.

Irish07, thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately I have tried several times this method and have not had success. Using the Tibbe key blade inserted in the off position, I put the first working key in proximity for the PATS to be detected, then start the car. immediately shut off, then put the second working key in proximity and start the car then shut off, then place the new transponder(s) in near proximity and a red dot on the dash stays solid and thereafter a message saying key error.
I bought the blade and transponders separately because another blank key is $190usd. I have tried with a 4D ID60, Texas 4C Class and the one that came with the Volvo key fob (unknown). Does anyone know exactly which transponder model is for sure or which car key equivalent should work with it? Thank you.
My 2008 V8V came with only one key and no remotes, does someone have a picture of the AM circuit board out of the FOB and what I need to modify on a Volvo one to get it to fit an AM FOB? Thank You!
Since you have the physical key, you don't start the car to program the sequence.
Key 1 to position II (wait for red dot on the left side of the dash to go off)
Key 2 to position II (wait for red dot on the left side of the dash to go off)
Key 3 to position II until red dot goes out. Then it is programmed

Dealer needed to clear keys, they will not override previous codes. Another key (used) will absolutely program, but it will not work in the previously programmed car it kills its code. So 1 key 1 car.
Hi, I just ordered a second key, it's the plastic version of the ECU. The only working key I have is the glass ECU. Can I program it in the car myself or does that only work if you already have 2 working keys? My attempts were unsuccessful so far...
You need 2 keys to add a third. Dealer needed to program the remote anyways.
