I mean in person. Pictures never do paint jobs justice

RossL, you are correct. Pictures do not do the paint justice. It has a slight grayish (carbon) metallic look in the right light. Silverish, even the slightest gold tint to it in the right light at sunset. But typically it looks jet black. It is meant to shift color a bit, and they pulled it off perfectly. Check it out in person you will like it.

Copeland, your photos don't do your car justice, they're more snapshots than composed. In the price realm of your car, you have to have killer photos to go national with the ads. Quite frankly, they're unappealing - with too much glare and they are over-exposed. I notice that you took the shots in the middle of the day, and with black cars you want later afternoon sun on them and a change of background, preferably a soft background that is not too busy. Do shots about 2 hours before sundown, make sure the wheels on the car are straight and the steering wheel centered, the carpets very vac'd and use a good digital DLSR camera. Let the lighting play on the black paint and you will find that certain angles will really work well and others not so much. Photos sell high end cars, and if you don't have the equipment or the desire to stage up - you can hire shots done by a pro for not much money. Here's an example of how I shoot my cars for sale....I pick the backgrounds carefully to show off the color of the car to make them 'pop' out of the background. Good luck.

Collie, yeah I meant to get out earlier in the morning, but washing took longer than anticipated and it got to be about 1pm. It was so bright. The HDR came out good but the rest were overexposed. I wish I shot the whole thing HDR. I hated them as well but at least it showed every angle for now and no damage. I plan on reshooting when I have time. Thanks for the advice.

Cheers,
Cavan

Thanks 007 - I would take you up on checking out your DBS - I have no doubt it is as pristine as you state. Unfortunately - my financing only let's me purchase through a franchised dealership - so that eliminates a lot of the better deals that are to be had. I appreciate you stepping forward though - I saw your posts elsewhere in the forum, and I was tempted to write you last week - but I knew I would not get the financing approved. Warm regards. Sorry had to post here - wouldn't let me send you a private message.
