Best Exhaust for DBS?
Best Exhaust for DBS?
I'm daily driving my DBS and it is just a tad quiet for my liking. I am debating the options of Larini vs Quicksilver vs RSC.
I prefer a clean sound with a slightly higher pitch, no rasp no pops - like F1. As an example, I love the Eisenmann exhaust on my M5 and the Tubular exhaust on my Lotus. This is making me lean towards the Larini. Searched YouTube for sound clips for DBS but really found mostly Quicksilver which is a little throaty IMO.
Anybody have sound clips or opinions? Or for sale?
Is fitment and sound similar on DB9's?

I think the DBS has more of a deeper howl off the bat then the DB9 which is slightly more of high pitch rasp. I'd been looking into these notes a lot when I was looking to get a DBS/DB9... so Larani may even out the tone on DBS making the note slightly higher pitch but not as high pitch or raspy as DB9...the v12v has more of a hallow raspy bark, very unique to that car, each of these cars have the same engine yet slightly varient exhaust notes. I think a Larini or RSC on DB9 sounds best, on DBS the quicksilver or RSC sound great and I dunno about v12v, I'm sure RSC has a nice setup for that car.
Plastiq keep looking until you find one that fits your ears best...and yes the DB9 and DBS have intertangable exhausts, if you get an aftermarket one maybe I'd like to try your DBS factory one to see what kinda weird tone we can get from that setup on a DB9

I plan to look for a sports exhaust in the Spring and that will be a prerequisite!Does anyone have any tips on which exhaust will pop nicely?

I have a Quicksilver on my DBS. It is throaty at lower rpms--similar to a big block V8. However, it screams at higher rpms. I'm very happy with it. It's still possible to drive the car relatively quietly if you need to (which is not really possible with my Ferrari 360 with a Capristo). I do like the sound of the Larini, but it is certainly more raspy (based only on the video clip).
IMO the Larini exhaust on an Aston v12 sounds amazing.. very high pitched and almost F1 like.

Quicksilver seems like a lower growl or muscle car-like.
Anyone know anyone that sells Larini for a decent price?
I've been finding Larini to be a bit more expensive than the Quicksilver
I like the Larini best on the DB9, the high pitch banchee like screaming howl is awesome! On the DBS with Larini you can hear it too but seems like the DBS is still a bit throatier and deeper even with the Larini, maybe just a nuance with that car in it's standard note being a slightly deeper growl compared to the higher pitch of the DB9. Either way they sound great! RSC seems to sound more muscle car with pops and crackles., and the quicksilver more of a louder throaty growl but similar pitch to factory. Each just appeals to a different ear I suppose.
These vids are making it tougher for me to decide - both sound great in different ways.
To throw another wrench in the mix, does anyone have RSC Cats with stock exhaust on a V12?
