A few tweaks to my V12V

Bringing the car out from winter hibernation and decided to add a few things at the time of service

Besides the TPMS reflash...I replaced the bright finish grill with the black painted grill, switched the piano black ski slope for the carbon one, added glass switches for Sport, Traction Control, Parking Sensor and Fog Lamps. I also switched the door handles for carbon versions. All OEM parts sourced from Astonbits. Here is a pic of the door handle...I have carbon strakes so these add just a little more carbon to carry the accent across the side of the car.

I considered the carbon mirror caps but like the contrast of the black mirror arms with the Tungsten. Also considered the carbon shift cover but the alloy stands out better. Only other option considered were the black exhaust tips but again the slight contrast of the alloy tips now seems to look better with the carbon diffuser. Pick up the car Saturday and can post some more pics. I will say that astonbits was very helpful and was able to get me everything in the US within a week

Nice touch! Did you have the dealer install during service? How many hours of labor did it take? I have been contemplating on adding more CF as well.

Thanks,

Will

Had my V8V in for oil change on Monday and saw your car in the garage. Very nice color for the V12V, Vince was telling me he had carbon fibre to put on your car. Would love to see the pics once he is finished.

Yes, my dealer is doing the service and install. It was going to take a while for him to order the parts so I ordered from UK and got expedited shipping. Will let you know the damage after I pick up on Saturday....don't expect it to be much. I planned the week long service to coincide with my Hawaii vacation...so not having the car would bother me less

Do you have any pics of the glass buttons? Definitely something I'm interested in doing.

Thanks!

I will take some and post when I pick up the car on Saturday. There are some sets out there for sale but my dealer got me the individual glass switch part numbers...just bought the four(sport, traction, parking sensor and fog). I did not try to replace glovebox or seat recline buttons

Can you tell us about the reflash? Gains? Emission legal? Cost? Experience, etc.?

Scott

Sorry did not mean to make it sound that exotic. This was just the tire pressure monitor system software reflash that was under the V12V recall bulliten. I believe the initial software was not programmed correctly for the tires on our car

I usually head down to Exotics at Redmond Town Center on Saturday mornings. You should show up when your car is done. Have you been to our gathering before?

It is just me or do those glass buttons make the ***** above look positively horrible? Back to the knurled, machined alloy or some other solid look would be appropriate...Or dare I dream, frosted glass *****, throw in some backlight glow...?

I have heard of the event but have not gone yet. Both Scott from Benchmark and my banker who tracks a 360 Scud have been trying to get me to go. Will try to get out soon
