Is that not just about the same that was said when the Countach was new, comparing it to a Dino or an X type? The direction of auto development is always toward smoother, easier, more comfortable, but there is always a little something lost. Just the nature of the game.

I'm quite sure that flying a fabric skinned bi-plane is way more visceral than flying a high end turboprop.

very odd comparison... two very different cars. at least they were honest about the Countach. i don't know anyone that has ever driven one that actually *enjoyed* the driving experience. a friend of mine was working on high speed tire development for Michelin way back in the day, and the Countach was their test car. he loathes that thing. said it was the worst thing he's ever driven.

Interesting comparison indeed. I remember as a young grade schooler in the late 80's having a poster of 3 cars that were my auto-heroes! The Countach, the F40, and the Porsche 959...
