Cost to own?
I use the factory recommended Mobil 1 0w40 oil. You need 10-11 quarts of oil for a DB9 so two 5 quart jugs and a single 1 quart should do it. This usually sets me back about $60 or so at Wal-Mart.
Yea that stuff is a rip off. What is Castrol 10W60 going for these days..20 a quart? I wonder if Mobil 15w50 would be just as good for the Vantage?
I hear ya! Just out of curiosity, what does the owners manual state for an oil requirement for a Vantage? Mobil's website is saying they recommended 0w40 for a Vantage (using what oil is right for my car link).

I've used Mobil 1 in my DB also, but I've used Amzoil, Redline, Royal Purple, Castrol Syntech also in various cars, each with great results. I'd like t do a full fluid flush in the DB at some point in 2013, incluing engine oil (coming up on the 10K annual interval), transaxle/diff, coolent, and brake fluid. That's the key, drive it, enjoy it, just maintain it properly with all records and documentation.
A Castrol 10W-60 product not available in North America. The TWS product is commonly used at AM dealerships.
