Taking a tour of the Gaydon HQ 5/15
Hey Guys,
I setup a tour almost a year ago for a tour of the Aston HQ in Gaydon, I'll take lots of pictures and post them on here.
Anyone else done this???

You will have a good experience and if you have enough time consider calling into the Heritage museum (www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk) virtually next door to Gaydon. Among many interesting exhibits, there is the prototype V12 Vantage.

Very cool, I don't know if its anything like the Toyota facility I just toured (awesome actually) but there were absolutely positively NO cameras aloud, Zero they were very very strict about it.

But in the foyer and design studio
I went to the Vantage Homecoming a while back and got these
N24 raced by Dr Bez and used on TV's Top Gear (peed in by James May )
A cut away of the V8 engine
A cut away of a DBS!
And the crowning glory, I got to crawl all over this
As an aside Bamford Rose are just down the road and you are not far from the birth place of Shakespeare
Enjoy the visit and ask lots of questions!

We did it in Sept. and really enjoyed it. Make sure to tarry long enough to see the "James Bonder" machine in action. The gift shop is very, very small. The lobby area is chock full of great cars and the small heritage display with timeline was cool. Don't miss the V8V in polished aluminum overlooking the entrance or the yellow one "walking on water."
We rode the train and took a cab to the factory. That was a nice experience as the train even had wi-fi.
It's a worthwhile trip.

My sons and I did the factory tour, works service tour and Millbrook driving experience in 8/2010. It was a lifetime experience - the Aston Martin staff who greeted us, the gentlemen who took us on the tours and the driving instructors were all tremendous. We all had a terrific few days in Gaydon. We were going to take a Mustang driving school in the US until I started getting the newsletter from AM. Whew! Almost made a mistake - the AM experience was first rate.
