I recently changed the Gearbox oil on my BMW 7 series and found that it was quicker and lighter off the mark. Incidently the oil it replaced was still in good condition.

Have Aston owners found similar responses when changing their Gearbox oil or was it pretty much the same as before?

Could there be benefits for using racing gear oil that reduces friction?

I changed my gear box oil recently.

It helped alot with smoother starts in that it stutters less at start and also shifts cleaner and maybe a bit faster.

Coupled with consistent clutch relearn and a rsc tcu car shifts pretty decent now. Stock it was so bad i was going to sell the car.

My vantage is a 2009 4.7 ss.
