Also, keep in mind that rates vary by location. $100 per month from state farm is a great rate for that car. That's why its wise to do the shopping around.

Not sure if they're in Florida though
NO they are not in FL

I have my DB9, and the rest of my collection, insured through National Corvette Museum Insurance, underwritten by American Modern Insurance

http://www.ncminsurance.com/about

Their site lists only NC and MA as excluded states.

WTH I must be getting stiffed, my last 6 month renewal was approx $1600 before any multi car discounts.

Probably shouldn't tell you this, but I have 3 cars plus my new race trailer insured at less than 1600/yr. Ohio is a low cost state, though. And my gravy train comes to an end in 7 months, when my daughter starts driving

That is pretty good I must say, although I'm surprised that in Ohio they let you buy a performance car like an Aston let alone insure it!

You can't do over 55 in Ohio without risking jail time!......my wife went to court for doing 89 mph on the I75 near Findlay and the judge called her a "road terrorist".......so I suppose the insurance companies presume that you'll be taking it easy and take this into consideration with the premium

Judge was probably just an Ohio State alum . Though I do try to confine my "road terrorist" moments to Mid Ohio

I am extremely happy with Liberty Mutual. My AM Vantage coverage is a bit over $1k with a $500 deductible. It's actually a little cheaper to insure than my BMW.

Customer Service has been excellent and their rates are the best I found (most insurers would not provide coverage at the declared value that I needed). Highly recommended if they are available where you live.

I went from 996TT to DB9 and Mercury Insurance wanted double of what I was paying for my TT. I shopped around and State Farm quoted just a couple of hundred more per year than what I was paying for my TT. So at the end I am paying pretty much the same as my TT. Definitely shop around.

That's an easy decision, no need to factor in the insurance cost. Just ask yourself whether you want to buy a cookie cutter hairdresser's aspiration or an bespoke premium sports car. Your call entirely.
