Any V8 vantage owners with the quicksilver exhaust? Trying to decide between the sport or the super sport version for a 2013 V8. Any excessive cabin noise with the super sport? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I can't be of any help, though -- I pulled fuse 22 on my '09 and I'm very happy with the sound.

Which version of the quicksilver do you have?

 

I did a fuse 22 pull and removed the rear parcel shelf on mine as well and its PERFECT, just like that. However, I have driven a Vantage with the Quicksilver sport (the less aggressive one) and really liked it. Its not too 'over the top' like many exhaust systems are. Some of these pipes can be so loud you can't hear yourself think inside the car and you tire of that quickly once over the initial thrill of the sound.

I put RNC Cats on mine and a Mansory sports exhaust on my car last year.....It was like I was at an NHRA dragstrip - way too much. Here's a short video of that combo on my car right after I installed it (sorry, I forgot to hit the focus button on my Nikon). The turn-around was 1/4 mile away and you can still hear the car! They came off the next day and I went back to stock.

EDIT-used to think this was loud until I bought a cobra with a 427. Got in the Aston today and it sounded closer to my Volt!

I have the super sport and love it. It does have a slight drone to it, but nothing that keeps me from taking it on long trips. If you're trying to sneak around at all though, the SS is not for you. You're welcome to come for a ride if you find yourself in Austin and want to jaunt around in a 4.7 car.

I had the QS exhaust on my V8V when I bought it a few months ago. The sound wasn't for me... or my neighbors! It sounds fantastic when you're running through the gears on the highway, but around town it was just too loud for my taste. I've pulled it off and replaced it with the stock setup - bypassing the vacuum valves in the process.

If you're still in the market, my exhaust is in perfect condition and for sale.

 

Does anyone know how to differentiate between the QS Sport and the Supersport? I see the hologram and the inspection sticker, but no plate that says one type or the other.

When I worked there they used to stamp the end plates, see if there are any identifying marks on there.
