It also could be rotor material and finish, when new. the problem should go away with a good bedding and over time.

your bedding with medium stops, wont due much. they really have to cook to get the resins out of the pads and get a wear pattern on the surfaces.

I do this a lot, so i have quite a bit of experience bedding brakes for street and race. the only pads i cant get to stop squeaking is the full race pads like pagid RS14s or equiv. (pagid racing black). I can get pagid orange race pads to stop squeaking, but the rotors have to be new to begin with.
Thanks for the input! You're right about the smaller rotors and calipers on our other cars. And I'll try to get out on the highway and really push them to finish off the bedding process.

I also bought a set of those Red pads that people talked about on this site. MAN were those noisy. No matter what. I always had to brake hard very early, then barely touch the brakes to hopefully slow down in time or they both squealed like a banshee.

I also tried the Girodisc 2-piece rotors for the Ford GT after reading they should fit. Unfortunately that particular brand did not. It's been quite the learning experience.
If you still need rotors, I have 2-piece rotors in stock.

I just got the stock ones. $600 vs $2000+ was too easy to pass up. Since it's just the squeaking that I wanted to stop.

Quick update - the Carbotech 1521 pads for the front did the trick! Much less dusting and a LOT less squeal. I completed the bedding process and am so happy with the results.

I do notice occasionally the fronts will want to squeak a little upon first driving the car. What seems to work best for me is to perform a couple hard braking tests to wear off the pad material enough to silence them. Then I'm good for about another week. This was a pet peeve of mine with this car, and now I barely ever notice it. I am SO happy.

Now it's time to do the rear pads. I'm even going to do the parking brake pads as well. I've found the Carbotech pads for the rear rotors, but it seems that AM pads are all I can find for the parking brake. If there is anything you would suggest, please let me know. Thanks!

The fastest solution was to put a particular red rubber spray (I don't remember now the brand, I have to check at home) behind the pads, It works great ( I used it on my 3 motorbikes and 3 sport cars with racing pads and always worked fantastic, zero sound during breaking)

When I had the Vantage I was pretty pleased with the PF's.

Did have an occasional squeal during hard braking.

I may try the C.T.s on the DB9.

Let me know if those are continuing to work for you.

Thanks for the input.

You can send tour worn out pads (parking brake) to carbotech and they will refurbish it with carbotech 1521 compound.

I have front and rears done with slot for wear pad sensor too for my DB9

That's a good idea, but it would take my daily driver out of commission while the pads are away. Also, I think since there's very little material on the ebrake pads I won't need to replace them.

The rears are on their way to me now. I should have it completed sometime next weekend. Thanks for all your help!
