Mercedes used to say lifetime fill and then all the transmissions started to blow (back in the 90s), now they have a 4yr service cycle. No ATF is lifetime fill truly. But if they are insistent then just do the differential with 2 quarts of mobil1 synthetic.

I have been reading about "lifetime" in lot of life time filled fluids.
I have BMW 750 Li, and lot of forum says change ATF at 60k miles as life time means 100000 miles for transmission and then it can go .

Since dealer is not interested in changing it, does any one have guide how to do it by your self?

For an Aston or a BMW? BMW write-ups should be out there on BMW forums. There's a write-up for Aston floating around our forum somewhere.

Sorry for not being clear. I meant was BMW says for life but seems to me that lot of people are changing ATF in BMW at 60k miles.

So I think we should probably change ATF too. I have 2009 DB9 automatic. I could not find DYI for DB9 ATF change if you see it please point me. Thanks

Technically they are right... It is a "Lifetime" fill, but what they don't tell you is by not changing it that lifetime will be much shorter lol. Most manufacturers stopped using lifetime fill a while ago bc they were running into legal issues stating that so now they usually do 4-6yr service cycles.
