Very serious issue. Is there precedent for financial hardship in granting exemptions from crash test requirements?
That would not be good for AM if they do not comply with the law if an exemption is not granted. If the exemption is not given, I think AM would find the money somewhere; that would be a serious drop in sales and income otherwise.

Lotus did it for the esprit in later years. Lotus also got an exemption for the last model year evoras. BUT the evora isn't allowed to be imported now past a certain model year because it doesn't meet the latest safety standards.

AM will find the money. The US and UK economies are improving and there is a lot of money out there looking for a home.
I wouldnt be surprised if Mercedes have a keen eye on AM and will only strike once the company can be had for a dime !
