Curb Rash
Curb Rash
I have a bone stock Aston and have a bit of curb rash on both front wheels. It kills me.
I have a few options and wanted to get some of your feedback
1) Have the rim repaired, no real hit to resale value and forget about it.
2) Buy a set of 4 new aftermarket rims for the aston. Some people have value keeping it stock not sure if this is a good idea or not
3) Buy a set of 4 oem rims for the car and sell the damaged on ebay.
Living in Canada its hard to find sources for an 07 vantage rim.

Yeah those can be fixed but you will have to take them to some one that knows what they are doing. I had something similar on one on my Modulare B18 Forged wheels on my 6 series Grand Coupe. Had a mobile guy come by and he did a good job but not perfect. Based on where I see the rashes, the wheel will need to be taken off then repaired. You looking at around $300-$400 a wheel to make them like new.
I find no matter how careful I am, I've managed to scrape rims on all my cars. It's just inevitable. I would just repair it or live with it as I have done. If you buy new rims, you'll just scape them also.
I just had my DB9 rim redone for $175 in Ottawa... Looks fine... There's got to a dozen places in the Big Smoke to get 'er done
