Battery location
Thanks, I have looked there before. I need to look again
It is behind the passenger seat under the little package shelf. At least it is on the convertible.
A few things to remember: Keep a battery tender on the car at all times. Mine went dead after only 4 days. When the battery goes dead, all kinds of computer things go crazy. Windows, mirrors, locks, alarm all stopped working. Passenger seat release is power, couldn't access the battery. Glove box containing owner's manual is power, couldn't get to manual. Jump started the car to get to the manual, move the seat and access the battery. Very poorly designed. I had to drive the car to the dealer to have the computers reset so the car would operate properly again. They were kind enough to do it for less than $100 but stated the normal cost is close to $200. Aston Martin replaced the battery under warranty but unfortunately, no one bothered to check to see if they had one. Not a single one anywhere in North America. The car sat at the dealer for two weeks waiting for a battery from England. They could have used an aftermarket battery but because it was a warranty item, they insisted it be Aston Martin.

I see this is an old post, but I just replaced mine on my 08 Vantage. It is behind the passengers seat, under the small parcel tray. It is a ***** to get out, but with a few hand tools and some time, it is not to bad. (easy for me to say) I was able to get my battery from my local NAPA store. It is a glass mat style battery,(AGM), group 49 as I recall. It will run you about 190 to 215 bucks. Battery is built by Johnson Control as is the Interstate brand. Let me know if you want more info on getting the old one out and new in!
Interstate has a direct replacement
The dealers use Interstate batteries to replace the OE batteries. I bought mine from the local Firestone store. Through the dealer parts dept it would have been just over $200, as I remember. From Firestone dealer, $140.
Looks to me to be exactly the same as OE part, same injection molded plastic case, same vent port for the acid fumes, etc. Just a different label. Would not be surprised if they were made in the same Mexican plant.
By the way, they both weighed 53#.
The Interstate truck comes to my Firestone store every day.
Same battery is standard equipment in Jag products and many other high end European cars.
