I don't know what the weights savings translates to and I don't know whether I'll be able to tell the difference when I get my car. I did also order the lightweight forged 10spoke wheel option, so there's even less unsprung mass, blah, blah, blah…

the majority of the weight is in the rotor. the hat, is also on a much smaller diameter. most 13-14" stock, cast rotors weigh about 18-20lbs. the center hat portion is only about 7" in diameter. its always nice to reduce rotating weight, because at the wheels and tires, its about 1.5 to 2x the effect as if it was sitting in the car as far as acceleration, but at the Hat diameter, for the sake of this discussion, its negligible as far as its rotating effects vs if it was sitting in the car. so, saving 4lbs per corner is not worth getting excited about. handling-wise, its something, but nothing you will ever notice on the street, especially on a smooth surface.

And which involves cost cutting?

Which provides better performance?

2-Piece floating vs Dual Cast

It would be interesting to see what the purchase cost of each rotor is, I bet the non floating item is much cheaper.

is nice if you get a custom hat , that can use the cheaper outer rotor piece. generally, they are about $200 each, but the hats , made custom might be near $700 each.

Are those the wheels in the 2nd and 3rd pics above? If so, then they are the same as mine. Those H&R rear wheel spacers that you have will go straight on, I fitted a pair to my car last weekend, and AM has thoughtfully put a hole exactly where the original studs stick through. Perfect.

Yup. Those are the wheels and I was planning on using my spacers. They also fit the old sport pack wheels without modification but just barely. Have you posted any pics of your car with the spacers yet?
