according to the shop manual, only six clips hold it in place, here's the page, not terribly helpful, but perhaps karl can chime in on this.

and here's a thread on options for replacement: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ter-cover.html

It literally lifts right up. Just use a proper automotive trim tool and protect the leather from scratching. This should be an easy repair for any qualified individual to make it look as good as new.

I keep meaning to buy a set of the plastic trim tools as you suggested in one of your threads and have yet to get around to it!

Karl, do these tools like they'd do the job?

Yes, those will work fine. You can also find to set at Harbor freight for pretty cheap if you happen to have one of those stores near you.

Wow, ok. If that's the case I would rather just buy a new one. I got an insane quote to redo the instrument cluster and passenger panel piece for $1000. I thought hate as insane, if ic an flat out replace for new for $200, I can then do the passenger piece myself (not that difficult to remove after all).

Thx for the heads up!

Thy had to take out the whole leather and move it up as there was spare leather below.

Can't believe they charged me $45. I'm sure if they knew it was for an Aston it would have been $145. Lol
