This should give a good idea of what the stock system will be capable of with the ecu alone. More mods later. I will post video etc too and impressions once it's all done.

Since the HP curve is still rising at 7,300 RPM, it would be great if the limit was set at about 7,600 RPM instead.

Yes, The final tune is a 7700 rev limit tune. The power drops off a bit, but check out my thread on the "velocity ecu". I think that the person that was writing the tune probably took the 7500rpm map and trasncribed it to make the 7700rpm tune, but forgot to add a bit of timing back in above the 7500 rev limit from the previous tune. The power continues to climb nicely past 7500 but hits 7600 and starts to fall. Tells me the timing isn't staying advanced. The AFR stays the same which I have on a different log graph in Volts from a Motec Wideband ecu.

Dyno results

From Stock (Blue line) to headers, decat, filters & ECU (Green Line)

Peak power went from 304whp to 330whp.

Red line is only ECU tuning.

Torque seems to down in the 3-4k range. Anyone with same experience?

The headers change the sound of the exhaust note and combine even with the stock exhaust it makes a lovely sound

Will post some sounds videos when I have the time.

Only ECU tuning.

A stock 911 2006 C2 did 273whp on this dyno

The mileage between the base line and final dyno (green line) was about 300miles

Custom X pipe installed

Xpipe in place of the Cats

I found running the exhaust note with out the cats on a little to high pitched and jarring. So I just got a custom x pipe made.

Will send a video in the next post.

I recently had a good drive together with a V8 4.7 and my 4.3 was just as fast at speeds above 100mph

I recently installed Harrison Signature 200 cell cats and with fuse 22 pulled it was much too loud for our liking. Its sounds amazing at mid throttle but at full load its really loud so i just went back to stock....but now its too quiet

I wonder how it would sound if i put fabspeed x pipe on

I always wanted to do "X cat" (or X-cat bypass in this case). Please do an after dyno, I am dying to know what the gains are various rpms.

How does it sound now that you put X pipe in with headers?? (It should sound smoother now).

car sounds awesome. Not sure I can detect how loud it actually is from the clip.

When the valves are open, its really loud outside the car. Essentially, valves open = nearly straight through from engine to exhaust tips with no mufflers/cats in between. The note is not vulgar, nor brutish like Lambo's, not screaming like the Ferrari's, not with the rumble of AMGs but more like a opera tenor building to a climax.

Sorry the long delayed reply. I know you have the BR GT4 engine but what else have you done to your exhaust? I may consider the fabspeed xpipe.

Just sold my 2007 Vantage V8 4.3.

I have the the headers and x-pipe out of the car.

Any body wants to buy them from me?

Setup works best with a tune from Stu.
