Hey everyone,

It may be hard for me to explain this but i hope i could be close to making you understand the situation. My 2011 Rapide is been great since the first day, I've noticed recently when i start the car the sound is AMAZING but when i reach to the place i am going and turn off the car and then start it again within an hour or less, the sound is 90% less, i understand cold starts are higher but when i start it for the 2nd time it seems there is a problem, i feel like the engine is chocking for some reason. The weird thing is if i go to a different location and turn of the car for the 3rd time the car starts normally with no issues. Its always the 2nd time that sounds weird.

Any thoughts?

PS- the previous owner has installed an exhaust system, could it be that? if i return the stock exhaust system will i regret parting ways with the louder sound?

 

Started to think it might be the battery?

 

There is a service action to reflash the ecm for known cold start issues and starting issues. Has this been done on your car.

 

I'm taking it to the dealer today!

 

Just wanted to update, i took the Rapide to the dealer they said everything was fine and that this occurs in hot weather and hot engines.

I also want to admit that i've been enjoying driving it hard these days...
