'06 DB9 Purchase Checklist?
'06 DB9 Purchase Checklist?
Hi, all.
Does anyone have a pre-purchase checklist they particularly like? I'm primarily focused on a 2006 DB9 (I do have the Gaydon-era "Definitive Guide" book).
Thanks!

1. Check the transmission cooler for leaks, most cars have been updated by now but there are still a few that haven't. The ones that haven't been updated should show some really obvious signs of leakage.
2.Check to make sure the oil dipstick has been updated to the new one (additional quart of oil).
3. Has the coolant, tires, diff fluids been changed?
4. Service records?
These cars are very reliable if maintained properly so try and find one with a good servie history. Happy Hunting!

The guide is great - Dan's suggestions as well. I believe, at some point, you have to get the car up on a lift for a look as well. Also, I thinks the interior shows the level of care for the car. Leather condition, carpet, dash, headliner if it from a humid area, all electronics working. Turn everything on & off. Some debate getting a Car Fax, depends on your comfort level. Of course a reputable PPI might help ease you mind as would negotiating a dealer warranty for a period of time. DB 9's are very reliable if cared for. There is a lot of valuable information on this forum as well as helpful contributors. Good luck in your search!
