I was battling the same decision about a year ago. Then I drove a 599 and immediately hated the transmission and never looked back. A DBS with a 6speed is just so much better.. Go drive a 599.. I really really wanted to love it.

I did test drive both, don't know if that counts.

One thing I can tell you, the Nav system on the 599 is the worst system I've seen on any car, ever.

Agreed! It really cheapens the interior.. So bad. Makes the AM stuff look futuristic!

cvprez is infamous around these parts
So I drove a DBS today and after not having driven a manual transmission car for 15+ years, and given my intentions with the "toy" I think I would prefer an automatic one. The one thing I was truly disappointed with was the trunk - I assumed since there is no backseat and a fairly large tailgate on the DBS I would actually be able to put golf clubs in it - but the trunk was so tiny it doesn't look like it. Anyone know if the 599 is better in that regard?

Yes, the 599 trunk is bigger.

The DBS is a better car for driving on a daily basis, even with the smaller trunk. The 599 is a better "once in a while fun drive" car and will hold its value better if you are not going to drive it.

In my car the bag will fit with most irons but the driver for sure and fairway woods have to come out and go diagonally across the trunk.
