V8V vs DB9

Has anyone owned a V8 AND a DB9? Or had significant seat time in each. I have owned v8 and v8s but have never driven the db9 and am interested in real world comparisons, and not just staright line speed but handling, practicality, comfort, looks etc.

They are both gorgeous cars but if I had to find fault I would say the v8 seems a bit cut off from some angles and stubby, while the db9 seems overstretched with too much overhang.

Anyone have some good side by side pics?
thanks for any help, John

Are you in the Bay Area? If so, I'll let you drive my DBS. I had it on the track at Laguna Seca yesterday and compared to other cars I've driven on that track, it's the easiest to drive fast.

Wow, DBS on the track. First I've heard of a DBS owner doing that. How was it?

You know, I'm an old fart*, but I have quite a bit of track time in a Kirkham Cobra, a boss302, a 550, and a Z06. The DBS felt so balanced, easy turn in, easy to catch, the those DBS breaks have no quit! The worst problem was, I picked up so much rubber on my tires, I had some vibration on the way home.
So, not as quick as my Cobra, just as balanced as the Boss, faster than the Ferrari, and not as nervous, but slower than the Z06.

DBS wins the fun quotient. Best of all, my wife rode along for a few.

*i don't drive at 10/10, nor do I seek to chase faster and faster lap times. I just try to be smooth and enjoy a good line. In that context the DBS is a real winner.

thanks, very kind of you. I am up north, 2-2.5 hours but may still come for a drive. Depends on where you are, if you are north of the GG I am down for sure!

A quick web search...

...turned up this image (not great, but a somewhat interesting family photo): http://images.thetruthaboutcars.com/...u4XelqyNvj.jpg
