Have a neighbour who will be selling his Vantage V8 next year, and it is a manual. I would prefer to have the Sportshift. Wondering if a conversion is possible, who in North America can do this work, how much, and what is involved in terms of parts and labor.

Yes, I know the easy answer is just to go out and buy a Sportshift model instead, but I might be able to land a good price with my neighbour, and avoid shipping one in from farther away, so entertaining this idea, if it is at all possible.

It's possible but I highly doubt the cost would make sense compared to just buying one that already has it, regardless of what kind of deal you get on the car.

Seriously after reading all the problems people are having with this transmission you want to take a perfectly good car and mess with it!Ttry driving it first I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Seriously? There are people lining up to even FIND a used V8V as a manual. It's getting harder and harder to get them as manuals and I suspect that the manual cars are only going to go up in value- much quicker than the sport shifters.

It's almost like trying to find a manual Lambo Gallardo, or Ferrari 360. The 3 pedal cars are the ones to own!
