Convertible Top Malfunction

https://vimeo.com/182218373?utm_sour...campaign=29220

This is a very good video that describes a solution to a problem that is different than the first described roof malfunction problem in this forum. The roof malfunction described in this forum disrupted many of the sensing items listed in the graph in a previous posting (Speedometer, boot latch, window closure, instrument lights, etc...). Because of these problems, replacing the CRM is prudent.

Thanks, I will keep this video in my archives as it describes a different problem.

Thanks.

I hear no pumps running. It will close back and latch with no problems. I have checked the boot fusebox and all appear ok. Does anyone know where the pump relay is located or have any other ideas?

It is not giving any error codes.

video i posted help fix problem described by dallasbaker or at least I had same problem.

If CRM is problem then Instrument cluster goes crazy, nothing display, 0 RPM, O MPH speed, I had that probem too. You can confirm CRM is the problem by removing CRM and then starting the car. Display will come back to life, but roof won't work.

Convertible Top Manual for DB9?

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but is there any chance you (or any other folks) would be willing to send me a copy of that manual?

I have a 2005 shop manual PDF, but it's often inaccurate and is definitely a bit light when it comes to the top. There are a few "image to come" placeholders, oddly enough.

Thanks in advance,
David
