Door check rods?

Am I correct that the struts I need to replace to keep my DB9's doors from accidentally amputating my wife's legs are called "door check rods?"
The replacement looks pretty easy... anyone done it and care to comment?
Thanks.

EDIT: FOUND THE TUTORIAL POSTED HERE BY DALLASBAKER. THANKS...OUTSTANDING!

corveight is infamous around these parts
Just did mine. Easy job. Hardest part was getting the liner out. Took the time to clean the liners while I was at it.

I did my V8V, easy job. Got the parts from AM Bits in UK and it makes a big difference having put up with the doors closing on my legs for some time
