The top few days ago seems like it was opening and closing a bit slower than usual. Today I opened the top (again seemed slower than usual plus noise from motor was bit strange) now the top won't close.

I can hear the motor work however the tanneau cover barely moves and nothing happen. The cover moves maybe 1 inch and that's it.

What can it be? Not the module right? Maybe the fluid or maybe the actual motor it self?

Do you guys this this will be an expensive fix?

I guess I will need to go to dealer now...

Module is the first place to look, and if that's okay then it might be something mechanical. Motor is spinning but not engaging something?

Yes it seems the motor is spinning but doesnt have enough juice in there to actually move it up! It may be the motor, mechanical, but i dont think its the module.

Anyone have recommendations as to where i can take this in Los Angeles?

John at New Tickford. He's down in the San Diego area but I won't take my car anywhere else.

If you hear the motor and only little to some movement occur on tonneau and top.. I'd shoot for a possible hydraulic leak with the lines through the convertible top skeleton frame.. The lines have been known to get pinched and leak out. If your able to lift the top out of the tonneau manually, have a look inside the tonneau area for any wet areas.. Should be bone dry

Took it to Beverly Hills Aston (they have been absolutely great with everything!)

It turns out to be a hydraulic leak just like irish said. I wonder if this is common.

I have a leak in the hydraulic line on my roadster. I would like to find and fix it myself. I have already paid the dealer $3,000 trying to fix it and that's all they are going to get from me. Any advice on how to access the hydraulic lines is much appreciated!

Thanks!

There's really no advise, just open tonneau cover and find the one that's leaking. Then remove any parts you need for access to run a new pipe from pump(RHS tonneau area if also a V8V roadster) all the way to the bow with the leaking pipe.

Have you pin-pointed the one that's leaking?

I have not pinpointed which one is leaking. I do know that two years ago when I had the car serviced the shop found hydraulic fluid in the well where the top tucks in when opened.
