Anyone have phanton grey interior?

I thought this car I was looking at was all obsidian black. But it looks like sticker says Obsidian Black/Phanton Grey. A closer look, I think it is two tone leather. Grey looks almost black. Anyone have this two tone combination can comment? I prefer all black, but maybe this grey is dark grey and would look kind of cool?

I have full Phantom Grey with silver contrast stitching and LOVE it. It's a dark grey, not black. Obsidian Black is very, very black in comparison.

I also have phantom grey, but with yellow contrast stitching. I agree that the obsidian black is very dark in comparison. There's no mistaking the two, in truth.

How do I know if the dash is black or grey? Hard to tell from pictures. Or did they always make the dash obsidian black?

From this angle, it almost looks like the middle part where the cup holders are, is obsidian black. But the side part where the memory seat buttons are up to the dash, is phantom grey. Can't tell if the dash is grey or black.

From this angle, the middle part of the seat looks obsidian black.

From this angle, where the speakers and the AC vents are, it almost looks like its obsidian black and maybe phantom grey leathers coming together.

This image (http://imgur.com/F6pikjk) will give you an idea of which parts are phantom grey and which are obsidian. Mine is "taylors gray" which is lighter than phantom (phantom being pretty close to obsidian in many lighting conditions). I had the same questions about mine when I only saw it via pics at first. The center console, and all of the dash upper are in obsidian - it's just the light that makes it look that way in some of your pics. The only parts that will be phantom (if it's anything like mine) are the center of the seats from the bolster stitch inward, the door panel inserts, and the leather rear surround (behind the seats, above the parcel shelf and to the side of the seats).

Don't you guys think two tone looks kind of funky for a car of this class? Maybe Beemers and Audis but not an AM!

I have the two tone obsidian with phantom and actually prefer it over the all black. The phantom grey is close enough to the black to not look at all "funky", it's a subtle difference that breaks up the interior monochrome look really nicely. I always have to tell people it's two tone for them to even notice, it's that subtle.

Irvineboy, looking at the first pic you posted; the passenger seat looks like center sections are the dark gray, and outer sections black. Like the subtle example in rohnin's pic.

Either way, it is subtle, and to me, looks very good.

Bumping this. Phantom Grey, will I regret it over obsidian? Does it show wear more or stain? It does tend to look rather dark in pictures but in direct light I can tell its grey. Any thoughts/opinions appreciated. Thanks!

Nothing really to regret. If you want a black interior, get Obsidian Black. If you want dark grey, get the Phantom Grey. I personally prefer the grey over the black, but it's entirely subjective.

Most of the leathers will wear the same - they're super soft so they wear more easily than "normal" automotive leathers.

I love the phantom grey and had ordered it in a previous Vantage 2-tone with obsidian black. Couldn't do it again as the factory wanted a lot of $$ this time for phantom grey

Edit: old thread lol

Lol I read this too quickly and looked at the pic and thought the phantom grey was the interior and outer part was obsidian. Very nice though! I think I will get the phantom grey. It'll be a nice change (if slight) and then my next car I can go back to black perhaps.
