break in period
Picked up my vantage GT. Wondering if there is a break in period. Manual is pretty vague. I understand the engines are bench tested, but have been keeping g the revs below 4k. Not sure if this is necessary.

I think the general consensus is that break in is unnecessary in modern cars, but I think most people (including myself) would recommend keeping the revs reasonable for the first 1000-1500 miles is a good practice.

I think you're doing it right, stay under 4k revs for, say, 500 miles and under 6k for first 1000 miles. Then only hit redline or limiter occasionally for the next 1000 miles, then hammer it! The other school of thought in the old days is drive it as hard as you want to seat the rings. Now a days the rings are sealed at the factory.
